Be Mindful of Allah

This book is a commentary on the advice of the Prophetﷺ to ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAbbās, beginning with the words, ‘Be mindful of Allah and He will be mindful of you.’ Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbalī offers a thoughtful exploration of the meanings that can be derived from the hadith, combining scholarly insights with clarity. He explains that the hadith contains important counsel and principles related to key aspects of the religion, such as the rights owed to Allah and the promises made in fulfillment of those rights. The book supports its explanations with verses from the Qur’an, additional narrations of the Prophet ﷺ, sayings of the Companions and their followers, as well as stories and poems that enhance understanding.
