Lizzie Jordan's Secret Life

Five years after leaving university, Lizzie Jordan considers herself one of life's failures. Unlike her high-flying friends, Lizzie works as a lowly typist, shares a grotty flat, and 'makes do' with her accountant boyfriend. She never really got over Brian, the handsome American student she dated at university, who is now a successful Wall Street banker. Lizzie still exchanges emails with Brian, but the lifestyle she describes—extravagant parties and million-pound deals—bears little resemblance to reality. She is overjoyed when Brian announces he's coming to visit, but struggles to hide the fact that her glamorous lifestyle has been a house of cards. Ever resourceful, Lizzie devises a cunning plan, but as usual, things don't go as planned.
