Makansutra Singapore 2009

Eat the food and digest the culture. Makansutra is about celebrating food cultures. It is a food guide book that has listings of not just fancy international eateries but also the finer street food and no-frills food vendors and street food cooks which touts the country's comfort or soul food - iconic flavours that define their food cultures. These listings come with reviews that are short, sharp and littered with some quirky quips. Makansutra Singapore is the top selling food guide in Singapore for the past 10 years (and is now into its 7th edition). The New York Times have often written about Makansutra and its founder, Mr KF Seetoh, even naming him "the guidebook maven". Makansutra and Seetoh had also been mentioned and a special feature on us was in last seen by a feature by Mr Calvin Trillin of The New Yorker in September 2007. Makansutra and Seetoh had also been featured in TV shows with Anthony Bourdain and its like in CNN, BBC etc.
