Tan Guan Heng served two terms as the President of the Singapore Association for the Visually Handicapped (SAVH) and has dedicated over 40 years to community service. From 1988 to 2000, he was also a member of the resource panel on the Government Parliamentary Committee for Community Development. In 2010, he was honored with the President’s Social Service Award (PSSA), the highest national award for volunteerism.
