Rando Masashi, a self-centered, brash karate star, was the victim of a horrific bus accident that left him comatose, his face terribly disfigured by extensive burns. Genius plastic surgeon Dr. Manabe saved Rando's life and reconstructed his face based on a photograph in the wreckage. When Rando wakes up, a year has passed, and the doctor has made remarkable progress. However, the photo used as a reference was of Rina Kurimi, the girl Rando has a crush on. The story involves Rando's romantic and emotional struggles, including meeting Rina's twin sister and dealing with the consequences of his new face.
