Saffy's Angel

Saffron's two sisters, Cadmium and Rose, and her brother Indigo, were all named from a color chart by their mother Eve, a fine-arts painter. When Saffron, known as Saffy, discovers that her name is not on the chart, it leads to the discovery that she has been adopted.

Life in the Banana House, their home, is never dull. Caddy, the eldest, is taking driving lessons from an attractive young instructor. Indigo dreams up daring ways to conquer fear. Rose has learned how to get her way without upsetting others. Saffy, who remembers only a stone angel from Italy in her early childhood, embarks on a humorous adventure to find her angel with a new friend.
