Singapore Notecards: Heritage Houses

Singapore Notecards is a series of collectible gift cards featuring illustrations of major landmarks and historic places in Singapore. The set, Heritage Houses, contains 12 notecards depicting historic residences in Singapore, painted by artist Graham Byfield. The cards showcase various residential types, including black-and-white houses in historic estates such as Alexandra Park, Goodwood Hill, and Seton Close, as well as Singapore shophouses from Peranakan enclaves like Emerald Hill and Joo Chiat. The collection also features historic mansions and bungalows once home to prominent residents, along with the art deco architecture of Tiong Bahru Estate, Singapore’s first public housing estate. The notecards aim to represent Singapore’s architectural heritage and tell the story of residential living in the city through a visual panorama. Each card is unique and features vibrant, distinctive artwork, making them collectibles. Graham Byfield, an English painter and designer, lived and worked in Singapore in the 1980s and early 2000s, developing an interest in architectural heritage and conservation, which is reflected in his artwork.
