Kitab Tāj al-‘Arūs ini merupakan karangan Shaykh Tāj al-Dīn ibn ‘Atā’i’Llāh al-Sakandarī, seorang ‘ulama Mesir dan tokoh Ṭarīqah Shādhiliyyah. Buku ini telah diterjemahkan dari bahasa Arab ke bahasa Melayu oleh al-Shaykh ‘Uthmān al-Funtiyānī bin Ḥāji Shihāb al-Dīn al-Banjarī, seorang ‘ulama asal Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat. Al-Shaykh ‘Uthmān memperoleh pendidikan awal dari keluarganya dan beberapa ‘ulama di Pontianak sebelum melanjutkan ilmu di Makkah, belajar dari berbagai ‘ulama terkemuka. Karyanya banyak tersebar di alam Melayu dan masih diajarkan di beberapa pengajian pondok.
