Alex, the cartoon investment banker who resides on the business pages of the Daily Telegraph, emerges into a new Millennium just as arrogant and unpleasant as he was in the old. It's been the toughest year so far in Alex's fifteen-year career. His world is rocked by financial scandals, he discovers his boss is having an affair with the head of human resources and Alex must fight to retain his job as many of his colleagues are made redundant around him. Regardless of the chaos of his daily life, the irrepressible Alex still manages to humiliate his trainee Robin, ski, play golf and experience very odd dreams where he finds himself a pupil of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
